Last week I shared the new QuickBooks Online tabs experience, but little did I know that there was still more in the works. There are some new updates which I would like to share with you.
Previously, our Get Things Done Tab listed short cuts, bank register, and the set-up guide. The dashboard has been replaced with an ‘interactive’ workflow illustration. The QuickBooks Online workflow feels quite similar to QuickBooks Desktop Dashboard. I see this more familiar workflow diagram as a significant draw for users converting from Desktop to Online.
The workflow dashboard is broken into three sections: Money In, Money Out and Accounting and Reports.
Get Things done tab (My Workflow)
Manage your workflow in one place and discover features that help automate work and save you time.

- Money In – Illustrates a clear path for adding products and services, customer management, estimates, invoicing and getting paid.
- Money Out- Shows how funding flows to bill payment, time tracking and payroll management.
- Accounting and Reports – Is the final flow for banking transactions, review of transactions, report trending and includes a link for expert help if needed.
This is a plus for the business owner, it demonstrates a clear flow in what was previously a convoluted process. It's clearly a tool designed to enable business owners, a clear and concise roadmap for AP, A/R and Reporting.
So, how do you feel about this? QuickBooks is seeking your feedback on how to improve this page. Below is the sample survey for your input. While you can't actually input answers to questions here, you can give them some thought and then either log-in to QBO and give your feedback or leave your thoughts in the comments to this article below as well and I will pass them along to the QBO Development team.
