In a brand new post at Intuit's Firm of the Future Blog, Ariege Misherghi, leader of the Accountant Segment of Intuit's Small Business Group shared several improvements to QuickBooks1 that were fostered from feedback provided by QBO users. I wanted to make certain that you were aware of these, since many of them I personally didn't even know about, and that you also were pointed to her Blog post: 'Thank You for Making Us Better.'
Report Smart Page Breaks
Apparently the exporting of QBO reports prior to this didn't always produce the desired results because page breaks were not always in logical places. (Kind of the sane way that they are when you print one of our Insightful Accountant articles from Metro Publishing). Now Intuit has added a new 'Smart Page Breaks' feature (by default) so that whenever you email, export or print reports you always get reports broken in a logical manner if the report will not fit on a single page. This new feature has recently rolled-out to all QuickBooks Online users...but if you decide you don't like what 'SPB' does to your reports you can simply uncheck the option (as shown in the figure below).

For more details about this feature see the Firm of the Future: 'Thank You for Making Us Better' Blog post.
(By the way, I wish I could say that 'Metro' had done something similar and that now printing of Insightful Accountant articles would have logical page breaks... but I wouldn't be telling you the truth if I said that!)
Client Overview Updates
QBO-Accountant feedback yielded the need for the ability to compare both current and prior year activity in the Client Overview feature when examining a prospective client's QBO file for potential clean-up and maintenance purposes. As a result Intuit's team made multiple changes to the display and date filtering capabilities (including custom date range) of this tool to provide users with better insights into how much work would be needed as part of any engagement. (See one example below.) For more details about this feature see the Firm of the Future: 'Thank You for Making Us Better' Blog post.

Reclassify Transaction Tool Enhancements
The 'Reclassify Transactions' tool for Accountants has undergone a number of improvements since it's introduction including several within the past year; however, since then additional feedback has led to enhancements to 'date range filters' and the ability to 'filter and reclassify by location'. Can you say, "WOW"!
Recent enhancement to Reclassify Transaction Tool now adds the ability to filter and reclassify by location.

QuickBooks Performance
So as to reduce lags in performance or access to QuickBooks, and to help you work faster and more reliably, Intuit has recently made "vast performance improvements across QuickBooks". Read more about the specifics of these performance enhancements in the Firm of the Future: 'Thank You for Making Us Better' Blog post.
And even more...
There is even more information within Ariege's blog that I haven't even begun to summarize, so just 'click on over there' and check it out at: Firm of the Future: 'Thank You for Making Us Better' because these are some really great enhancements.
