Don't worry, Accountex USA has you covered. This year's "Meridian Awards," presented by Accountex in partnership with AccountingWEB, honored a prestigious few vendors in the accounting technology space who have displayed excellence beyond their peers in a given award category.
Selection of the winners was based on metrics, including innovation, market impact and the size of the problem solved for small business owners. This year's winners included:
Receipt Bank – Best User Interface
The "Best User Interface" Meridian award is awarded to the app with the most user-friendly interface. Ease of use, beauty, design, responsiveness, and speed.
Expensify – Outstanding Partner Program
The "Outstanding Partner Program" designation is awarded to the company with the best Accountant Partner Program. Vendors generally view accountants as a channel partner and reward firms for their referrals. This award evaluates not only the compensation plan of the program, but also the ease of submitting referrals, creativeness of spiffs, marketing tools provided, training resources, and requirements for participation.
RIVIO Clearinghouse – Blue Ocean App
The "Blue Ocean App Award" is given to the company who best represents innovation in the marketplace. This is an innovation designation for a product that is like no other and really stepped outside the standard market boundaries to either create a new market demand, or answer a problem that had not yet been tackled.
Businest – The App You Should Be Using
This award was created for the apps without an enterprise level marketing budget, to help them expand into the market or get adopted. This award recognizes the newer or less visible solutions that businesses should be using but aren’t as widely known.
