When looking at a transaction in the bank feeds center in QuickBooks Online, you might not know what the check was for or even who it was for. That was before this new feature inside of QuickBooks Online.
Now, you can see the check images directly inside of the transaction. This allows you to gather the data you need from the memo and payee to code it correctly in QuickBooks Online.
You can check out the video HERE or read below to see how you can access these images.
Expense Checks
When you are inside of the bank feeds and you open one of the transactions, you can see the check images if available.
When you click on these attachments, it will pull up the image of the check, both front and back.
You also can zoom in and out of the check to gather necessary information.
Once you are finished adding vendor info you can select add and you will be good to go.
Deposits Checks
The other thing I want to tell you about is the deposits feature. Here we are looking at a deposit that has four different attachments linked to it.
When you click through those attachments, you can see a deposit summary which is super helpful because it gives you all of the information about that deposit.
The other attachments in that deposit transaction are the copies of each of those checks.
When you go back to that transaction that has been added, you can see all of the attachments in that transaction online.
This feature will save a lot of time trying to gather check images from the banks.
