As part of two upcoming security enhancements, Chase Bank will require all QuickBooks customers with a connected Chase Bank account to update their bank connection to continue using QuickBooks connected services.
This means that sometime between mid-October and the end of November 2023, you will be notified to reconnect your various QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Desktop accounts linked to a Chase Bank account in order to use electronic data exchange functionality, like Bank Feeds.
This will impact all forms of Chase Bank source accounts or Chase Bank based transactions, including, but not limited to, payroll direct deposit, payroll tax payments, loan funds, accounts and loan repayments, QuickBooks Payments via Chase Bank, Bill Payments via Chase Bank, online bank transfers, and others.
If you have any Chase Bank account connected to QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Desktop, you will receive detailed instructions about what to do, both via email and via QBO or QBD in-product notifications.
If you receive multiple notifications regarding Chase Bank, review each notification carefully to ensure the validity. If you have doubts, verify with your local Chase Bank which set of instructions is valid.
However, in some instances, each of the security enhancements that Chase Bank is performing may require a separate (independent) re-connection process to verify the security requirement(s) for your data.
