A new feature in ProConnect Tax allows you to tag critical tax form fields in product with a checkmark by the corresponding field. So you ask, why is this topic being included in QuickBooks Monday Minute? The answer is simple... QuickBooks Online Accountant integrates with ProConnect Tax to ease the transition of accounting and bookkeeping data into ProConnect Tax Online.
Speaking of which, we will tell you about a special two 1/2-day Bootcamp event Intuit is hosting on ProConnect Tax including a track specifically for bookkeeper or accountant personnel whose role it is to transition QuickBooks Online Data into ProConnect Tax where the remaining portion of the tax preparation process is picked up by another accountant or tax preparer. But before we give you the details about that training let's look a little closer at this new checkmark feature.
The new ProConnect Tax checkmark feature lets you to tag tax form fields with a checkmark by the corresponding field. When you hover over a field, you'll see a gray checkmark and the text Click here to place checkmark (as shown in the example below).

Select the checkmark, and it will turn green and the field will be marked as complete. Place the checkmark on items that have been reviewed (as shown in the example below).

If the content of a marked field is changed at any point (either through automatic calculation or another user editing it), the icon will change from a green checkmark to a red exclamation point, letting you know that the field may need to be reviewed before the form is ready to e-file. On the left rail, you'll also see a red icon with the number of changes next to the applicable form (as shown in the example below).

You can resolve these by clicking into that screen, fixing or approving the change, and then selecting the exclamation point symbol to resolve it. Or, select, View all checkmarks from the peach-colored advisory box (seen above), to quickly review all the unresolved check marks on your form (like those shown in the example below) before you submit the tax return to eFile.
