Desktop Training and Certification Portal Changes

What did you 'resolve' for your New Year? 

How about getting the latest training and certification in QuickBooks Desktop applications?

Well if that was one of your resolutions, the QuickBooks training and certification team has made access to those training programs and certification examinations much easier.

ProAdvisors with access to QuickBooks Desktop by virtue of their 'paid ProAdvisor subscriptions' will now see changes to their QuickBooks Online Accountant ProAdvisor Portal’s ‘Training' tab.

Under the ‘Training Library,’ all three Desktop related training opportunities have been moved into the central area of the library; you no longer need to click on a link to get taken outside the remaining portions of the portal to access QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Enterprise, and QuickBooks Point-of-sale training. 

As you can see in the illustration below, the 2024 QuickBooks Desktop certification (including the What’s New and Improved ‘Recertification’) training is now available.

You will also find the training for QuickBooks Enterprise with a notation that the ‘new’ QuickBooks Enterprise exam will be launched in January (2024).  Note that the 2nd module, QB-Enterprise Basic Inventory, has a 2024 date that indicates new content will likely be a significant focus in the new exam (if I have my guess).

Even training on version 19 of Point-of-Sale has been relocated to the training library.

When it comes time to certify, you will find all the Desktop exams not in the ‘Certification Hub’ of the ProAdvisor training portal.  Once again, note that the QuickBooks Enterprise exam is not accessible because a new exam is being made available in January (as highlighted in the red box below).
