Time Tracking Enhancements Bring Big Improvements
New and improved Time Tracking enhancements are on their way this spring in a phase rollout to all existing (and new) U.S. QuickBooks Essentials, Plus and Advanced users. You can access your Elite Time Tracking from the Time feature on the left-hand menu bar of QBO.

Time-tracking features will allow workers to input their own time directly into QuickBooks Online, and this feature supports an unlimited number of 'time trackers' without additional QBO subscribers required. The Primary Admin simply adds the name and email of an employee to the list of 'Time trackers' and then invites them, that employee sets up their time entry account where they can not only enter their time, but see all their own time entries.
Employees can enter their own time and post a specific duration on a given day/date (as one option)...

Time entries can be posted for a specific period (duration) on a specific day of the week (as shown above), or they can use a built-in timer to record the start and stop time(s) for each activity on a given day/date (as shown below).
Another time tracking option is the built-in timer...

"'Sayonara' QBO Desktop Apps!"
Intuit developed Desktop Apps for users quite some time ago to provide a dedicated internet browser for QuickBooks Online. The overall intention was to have the advantage of dedicated memory to run the App as opposed to QuickBooks Online having to share the total memory used by your Chrome (or other) browser running multiple open browser windows. The dedicated App was also intended to provide decompression and refresh rate features to help improve the computing experience when using the App with QBO.
The Windows App made use of the dedicated memory and processing capabilities of the installed graphics card. Therefore the experience enhanced QuickBooks Online operations over that of the App with only onboard graphics and your computer’s standard memory.
QBO Desktop Apps are being 'sunset' April 20, 2021.
QuickBooks Online Desktop Apps for Windows and Mac support ending April 20, 2021... on March 16, users of the QuickBooks Online Desktop Apps were emailed, letting them know that QuickBooks will no longer be supporting the Apps as of April 20, 2021.
These apps will no longer be available for download after April 20th. If you are already in possession of these apps, you will continue to use them as you usually do as long as your browser supports them. Be aware, though, that you will not be able to update them or receive support for them as of April 20th.
If you are interested in the QuickBooks Online Desktop’s continued use, then download now before they are no longer available for download.
You should be reaching out to your clients and informing them of the 'sunset' of these Apps and offering training for one of the recommended/supported browsers related to QuickBooks Online.
Intuit is interested in hearing your feedback regarding this decision and its implications for your experience. Please feel free to provide feedback with them at Share your feedback with Intuit.
