In our house we call Valentine’s day LOVE day. As a mom of three kids it’s my duty to hug on, remind them why they are special and embarrass them with heart shaped sandwiches for school lunches.
In honor of Valentine’s Day, I’ve made a short list of QuickBooks Online features that I don’t ever want to live without just like my dishwasher or flushing toilets.
Our firm and clients have grown dependent on QuickBooks Online in our daily lives and instead of creating more distance with our clients, because they are able to do more, we have found we actually have closer relationships because of the cloud-based access which helps to quickly address their concerns and questions.
So here they are, the QBO features that give us the warm fuzzies!
Work from anywhere
Truly, this has to be one the greatest benefits of QuickBooks Online.
Even though our firm was cloud-based before… QBO launched us even further into the cloud which gave us the ability to sync with other cloud-based software giving us more automation and customization.
QBO allows me, or my clients, to turn a spare moment into productivity.
Anything QuickBooks Online can do we can do from anywhere we have an internet connection. Send invoices, run payroll, reconcile accounts it doesn't matter with QBO we can do it from anywhere.
To put it simply, QBO makes hammock life a reality.
Bank Feeds
Yes, I know, bank feeds are not unique to QuickBooks Online, you can also set them up in QuickBooks Desktop, but QBO has dominated the feature.
QuickBooks online automatically downloads and categorizes bank and credit card transactions.
Using QBO I can work faster, create custom rules and train my clients easier and faster.
The reality is that bank feeds have transformed the way bookkeeping is performed by both day-to-day users and professionals.

Recurring Transactions
This is another QBO features that I just couldn't live without.
Using the QuickBooks Online recurring transaction center you can create them from scratch, or from the face of any transactions.
Recurring transactions are a super money and time saving tool.
For example, Recurring Sales Receipts with a recurring payment, giving users a true set-it and forget-it transaction with either credit-care or e-check recurring payments. It's due, it's paid, all in the speed of automated transaction processing.

QuickBooks Online Mobile App(s)
Whether you use an iPhone, iPad, or Android phone or tablet, there is a QuickBooks Online Mobile App for you.
You can easily email invoices or process payments with the mobile App.
You can capture receipts or pictures of work performed, and attach them to your QBO records or transactions.
And the QBO Mobile App lets me expand my "hammock work from anywhere" life by allowing me keep tabs on my business from my mobile device. With one click I can check customer information, look at bills I owe, or more importantly customers who owe me money.
And just like using iOS or Android on my mobile device, QuickBooks Online lets me use either a PC or Mac when I'm at my desk, whatever system fits my style supports QBO, because the Windows and Mac Apps for QBO make QuickBooks Online run and perform better than if it were local native system software.
Multi-user
QBO lets me easily configure my users for exactly the tasks they need to perform because I can create Custom user types. This means I can give sales personnel access to customers and sales features without giving them bank account access.
As an accounting professional of course I want to have full Accountant user access even if my client wants to retain Admin user rights.
Maybe we both agree that 'the boss' and investors really only need Reports Only access so they can't possibly get into the financials and mess things up.
How about those employees who only need to be able to enter their time so that every hour is tracked to the customer for billing and payroll purposes.
QuickBooks Online makes multi-user access and control a breeze. Just like that tropical breeze blowing across my hammock as I work in QBO using my tablet. Cool baby, real cool.
