Sometimes, we open QuickBooks and "do our thang…" without realizing that something is different.
Even though I knew it was on its way, I can't say that I noticed having the new 'Multi-entity' tab within my QuickBooks Online Accountant.

I might have subconsciously ignored its appearance. In my mind, I thought that Intuit had told us that there would be a new 'Multi-entity' tab for QBO Accountant users who supported Intuit Enterprise Suite clients. I guess I interpreted that to mean that the tab would only show up if you had IES clients.
I either misinterpreted what we were told, or the disseminated information wasn't clear enough. Anyway, the Multi-entity tab, like the one above, is what you see if you don't have IES clients with multiple entities.
If you have had clients migrate to Intuit Enterprise Suite and invited you as their accountant, they will show up within this tab, as in the example below.

If they don't appear, then they may not have invited you as their accountant, or you may have not accepted their invitation. The following steps outline what's require in order to make the connection between your QuickBooks Online Accountant and your client's Intuit Enterprise Suite.
Making the Connection
To connect your QuickBooks Online Accountant (QBO Accountant) to Intuit Enterprise Suite clients, you and your clients must be logged into your respective Intuit accounts.
You must request that your clients invite you as an accountant user within their Intuit Enterprise Suite account, allowing you to access their company files directly through QuickBooks Online Accountant from the Multi-entity tab, as shown in the above examples.
Once connected, you can access your client's Intuit Enterprise Suite data directly through your QBO Accountant interface.
Client Actions:
- Log into their Intuit Enterprise Suite account.
- Go to settings related to user management.
- Add a new user with your email address, specifying the "Accountant" role.
- Send you an invitation to access their company file.
Accountant Actions:
- Log into your QBO Accountant account.
- Accept the client invitation, and you will see their Intuit Enterprise Suite company file on the multi-entity tab of the client list. Their primary company will be listed as the 'Parent' entity and related entities listed as 'Child' entities.
- Access the client's data and perform accounting tasks as needed.
Enjoy the multi-entity experience with the functionality you are use to using within QBO-Accountant.
