In this App Academy demo, Pratheesh Nair of Accountero focused on a problem most accounting firms know too well: constant interruptions. Client questions, internal support requests, and repetitive “how do I find this in QuickBooks” emails drain time and break focus, even though the work itself is not complex.
Pratheesh showed how Accountero approaches this using two AI agents, Aimee and Paige, each designed for a specific role inside an accounting firm.
Aimee is a conversational AI agent trained on a firm’s tech stack and connected directly to QuickBooks Online and other systems. During the session, Pratheesh demonstrated how a business owner can ask basic questions like where to find unpaid invoices, how last month performed, or whether customers are paying on time.
Instead of sending these questions to the firm’s inbox, Aimee pulls real-time data, explains where the numbers come from, and shows the source behind each answer. This is not a black box. Firms can see how conclusions are reached, which keeps control and accountability with the accountant.
The goal is not to replace staff, but to reduce constant interruptions. As Pratheesh explained, support work is not difficult, it is constant. Aimee absorbs much of that volume so firms can focus on higher-value work.
Paige is designed for accountants, not clients. Her role is analytical. Pratheesh described this as solving the “blank page problem,” where all the data exists but it is hard to know where to start.
Paige generates first-pass financial analysis directly from QuickBooks data, including profit and loss reviews and balance sheet health checks. These reports are white-labeled, editable, and generated in minutes. Accountants can refine the language, add context, and apply professional judgment before sharing them with clients.
Rather than starting from scratch, firms start with clarity. This makes advisory conversations easier to initiate without changing service models or adding staff.
A Practical Way to Use AI Today
Throughout the session, Pratheesh emphasized that firms do not need sweeping changes to see value from AI. Accountero is designed to work alongside existing tools, with strong security controls and integrations beyond QuickBooks, including inventory, payroll, and AR and AP platforms.
By reducing interruptions and creating faster paths from data to conversation, firms can free up capacity and deliver more value using their current teams.
