Projects and Tasks
Project tasks help you organize and track your work. Tasks might relate to financial outcomes like finalizing and doing the touch-up for an interior project (as shown in the graphic example below). You can also create tasks that happen in the field so you can be up to date with the overall progress of a project.
How to: Add Project Tasks in IES
You can add tasks to break down the various aspects of work within a project. You can then assign a specific task to yourself or another team member. Let’s look at the steps to create a task directly from the project tasks tab or the project menu.
- Login to Intuit Enterprise Suite
- Choose Projects from the left-hand navigation bar.
- Select the Add a Project drop-down
- Choose Create task, the Add/view task window opens (highlighted in the red box in the illustration below).
- Enter the task name and description.
- Select the team member you want to accomplish this task from the Assign to drop-down. (Note: To assign a task to a new team member, they must sign in to the account for their name to appear in the drop-down.)
- Select the desired Due date and current Status (To Do, In Progress, Done, and Blocked).
- Select a desired Priority (Low, Medium, High).
- Make sure the Project and Customer are correct, or change as needed.
- Optional: Attach any document(s) for reference to accomplish the task.
- Optional: Link any record for reference to accomplishing the task.
- Review and finalize, then select Save.
