On May 31, 2025, Intuit will sunset all 2022 QuickBooks Desktop Products including 2022 Pro-Plus, 2022 Premier-Plus (all versions), QuickBooks 2022 Desktop Accountant, QuickBooks Enterprise (v 22), QuickBooks Enterprise Accountant (v 22) and QuickBooks 2022 Desktop for Mac-Plus .
As of June 1, 2025 Intuit will no longer provide security patches, product updates or customer support for those 2022 versions. This means that your financial data could be exposed to security vulnerabilities.
In addition, support for these 2022 products will no longer be available which means you will not be able to use add-in or companion Intuit solutions or features/functions including, but not limited to, QuickBooks Desktop Payroll versions, Desktop Payments, or online bank feeds. Other functional areas possibly impacted include:
- Assisted payroll
- Workers' Compensation
- QuickBooks Workforce
- Direct Deposit
- Payments processing
- Merchant account deposits
- Recurring payments
- eInvoicing
- Multi-currency Exchange-rates
- Online Banking
- Contributed reports
- Accountant-copy Transfer-services
- Intuit QuickBooks Email
- Online Backup/Data Protection
While Intuit presently supports subscription renewals for existing 'active' QuickBooks Desktop Plus customers, they are encouraging customers to migrate from Pro-Plus, Premier-Plus or Mac-Plus to either QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise or an Online version of QuickBooks.
Intuit is also encouraging all 2022 Desktop users to make certain to install the latest Release update available prior to the end-of-life date of May 31, 2025.
ProAdvisor wishing to explore options for themselves or their clients have both phone and chat options available to them on the member support page. Non-ProAdvisors with questions regarding the 2022 Sunset of Desktop products or migration options should contact Intuit.
