Intuit will begin rolling out, what will be for some, a major change in QuickBooks Online starting in early to mid December (2016). The change includes a new "color palette" change focusing on gray and green.
Here's the present look of QBO. As you can see, it has been pretty much this way since the new QBO, also known as "Harmony," was released in August 2013.

These changes are the start of something bigger than just a color change. Intuit is not only in the process of trying to bring a consistent experience across all the QuickBooks Products, including QBO, QB Self-Employed, QBOA and Payroll. It ultimately wants to create the same style and experience across all Intuit products: QuickBooks, TurboTax, Mint and others.
