One of the things that Intuit QuickBooks had been getting feedback on from QuickBooks Online Accountant users was their inability to access Apps from within their Client's QuickBooks. While QBO-Accountant users had access to apps from within their own firm's QuickBooks (shown under "Your Practice" and "Apps" in the illustration below), until recently, they couldn't access Apps from their client's QuickBooks Online.
But late in February, that all changed. Now, when a QuickBooks Online Accountant user goes into their client's QuickBooks, aka, Client view, they have a new 'App' item listed in the left hand navigation bar (shown in the yellow box below).
You will notice this still is QBO Accountant (highlighted in the green box), but we now are in one of my clients—in this case, my good old QBMurph client (highlighted in the red box). This isn't the same as my accountant user firm.
There under Apps are the most popular apps, free apps built by QuickBooks. In fact, it lists any app you want to track down and connect to your Client.
This is a feature that ProAdvisors, Bookkeepers, Accountants and Consultants who use QuickBooks Online Accountant for their clients have been asking for over and over again.
Intuit received the message and the feature is here.
