Happy Monday friends. While there has been lots of buzz about MailChimp and its integration with QuickBooks Online, it wasn’t until recently that I started to notice changes in one of my client’s files.
Even if you are unfamiliar with MailChimp or not particularly interested in its features, I urge you to read on and explore it.
With a free version readily available and MailChimp integrations coming to QBO, this presents a great opportunity for you to learn about its functionality and explain to your clients how they can leverage this integration to benefit their business.
Here is a quick video to listen to this article.
QuickBooks Online and MailChimp now have a direct integration that's being formed and I'm going to show you. Currently, it is in beta testing.
New customer UI Change
I have only seen this in one of my client’s books but there is a new UI change that has rolled out along with this new integration. This is what the new customer’s screen looks like:
Automatic Lead Organizer
This Automatic lead organizer is another screenshot I saw from a different client and inside of QuickBooks when we went to the customer center.
Here's what its beta test looks like:
When I clicked on that, it brought me out to this QuickBooks Online and MailChimp integration. You can see it is all about lead generation and keeping those organized.
What this is going to do is allow your customers (and even you) to manage those various customers or projects or promotions that you have going on. Now if there is an engagement, you are going to see that engagement activity if there's a sale associated with it.
Connecting account
I was able to connect all of my various accounts. I was able to say I wanted to go daddy in their Facebook on my social and that way we can monitor the activity that's happening in these various different places one platform this is super cool I'm going to encourage all of you out there if you are not currently a MailChimp user there is a free account you can get started right now.
I recommend you start using the free trial. This will get you familiar with the software. You can import customers really easily, create groups (maybe you have different Industries you serve, and you want to keep them updated on topics that are hot), and you can send out a newsletter to those various different groups there.
All in all, this is just something to be aware of that is coming down the pipeline and will soon awaken your client’s curiosity.
