What a BOOMING introduction to “Scaling New Heights.” Liscio took the spotlight as one of its teammates kicked off the Opening Main Stage with a drum solo. It was absolutely phenomenal.
Following this creative debut, Joe Woodard shared some insights on how the direction for this year’s “Scaling New Heights” is going to help you “Thrive.” From pointing out the qualities of an ideal client to breaking down the fundamentals of a great team member, there are so many takeaways.
It was an interesting perspective on how to eliminate some anchors and “shiny objects” and clear the road to Thrive.
To follow, Alison Ball, an Intuit expert and a wonderful person from the Liscio team, joined Joe on the stage to share insights on client adoption of systems. It is important for our clients to adopt our systems so work gets done and not just ignored. Just like us, our clients are busy bodies.
There is one thing clients will always have on them though, a cell phone. Client adoption of our systems is vital so this means we need to make sure we are creating a system with our clients in mind.
Patriot Software rep Annie Hanbach unveiled creative ideas to address burnout amongst remote workers. According to recent studies, 77% of remote workers are feeling the burn out. From the lack of human interaction to easily blurring the line between home and work, it is something that we all need to stay mindful of.
Some tips and tricks she came up with as a solution were things that Patriot does in their remote work environment:
- Lunch & learns
- Book Clubs
- Slack channels for non-work related things
- Shoutout and “High fives” — A way for co-workers to appreciate each other in a group setting
- Games such as Scattergories
Craig with Digits inspired us with the vision of evolution through technology and the power of seeking meaning in data.
And finally, the keynote speaker of the night, Kim Perill. The award-winning entrepreneur, investor and global CEO who has a passion for people, positivity, technology and progress used her Execution Factor to offer five key traits that can take you to the next level. They included:
- Vision — A clear depiction of what you want to accomplish
- Passion — Comically enough it is Latin for pain or suffering
- Action — Making moves require taking action
- Relationships — It takes more than just you to be successful, relationships are needed to a successful vision
- Resilience — Experiencing hardships and growing from them
All in all, this was a great way to ring in the “2022 Scaling New Heights” and I am excited to see what lies ahead.
