It's time to start new habits. Why? It’s a new year. One of my dear friends recently asked me to show them how to use QuickBooks Online Projects. My initial reaction was, "What?"
Projects are not a new feature, but instead a new habit to start. This existing feature is so much easier to use than customers and sub-customers. One great reason is the Project profitability reports.
This feature, available in QuickBooks Online Plus, enables you to stay organized by keeping transactions and time pertaining to a particular job all in one place.
Not only does this help with organization, but also makes monitoring a particular job's profitability easy. There are several reports that will allow you to view your profitability, transactions, unbilled work and even non-billable time.
You can say goodbye to the extra management software solutions or excel sheets that you use to keep track of the different jobs.
How to Enable Projects
- Select the Gear, and then Accounts and Settings
- Select Advanced
- Turn on projects
This is a great time and money-saving tool to start your 2022 year off right and will help keep your business profitable.
