Late last fall, Intuit announced the 'New QuickBooks ProAdvisor Program.' At that time, they announced several changes to certification requirements for ProAdvisors. Even before that, Insightful Accountant told you that changes were underway for the QuickBooks Online Advanced ProAdvisor Certification, including a simplified 'recertification process,' and that the recertification would take much the same form as the recertification for QuickBooks Online 'Core' certification holders that had been implemented for the July 31, 2018 certification renewal deadline.

Expanding upon the feedback associated with the announcement that all QuickBooks Online ProAdvisors would share a common renewal date of July 31 annually and that a re-certification examination would be offered, the Fall of 2018 changes did in fact incorporate a similar process for QuickBooks Online Advanced ProAdvisors. While at the same time eliminating the requirement for Advanced Continuing Education (ACE) Credits. So, if you are QuickBooks Online-Advanced certified, you only need to pass the QuickBooks Online Advanced re-certification exam on or before July 31, to maintain both your QuickBooks Online and Advanced Certification status for another year.
