QuickBooks 2016 Update Requires Explorer 11

I woke up to find that one of my computers running QuickBooks Enterprise 2016 had received an Intuit critical fix update.

The update apparently started being pushed out on Sept. 19, because I received it overnight on this one machine where I leave auto updates turned on. By the way, I do that on this one computer so that I can see when such updates start showing up.1

Part of the update requires the use of Microsoft Internet Explorer 11. This message pops up as QuickBooks is preparing to load your company file:

As you can see, you only have 30 days to upgrade to Explorer 11 if you want to keep using QuickBooks 2016.

Another case of "Big Brother" knows best if you have auto updates turned on.
