Are you one of those people who gets out the stamp-pad and rubber-stamp to put a Past Due on your unpaid invoices before you mail them? Maybe you print a watermarked past due on blank paper and print your QuickBooks Invoice on top of that?
Well, QuickBooks 2018 finally gives you the ability to put a Past Due stamp on your printed and emailed invoices, as well as display the message on the viewing copy within the GUI.

By default, this new Past Due stamp only displays on the viewing copy of QuickBooks Invoices. It doesn't print on either printed or emailed invoices unless you option to turn printing on.

To configure printed or emailed copies to show the Past Due stamp:
- Start at the Create Invoices screen
- Select Formatting
- Choose Manage Templates and click OK
- Check the “Print Past Due stamp” checkbox
When the "print" option is enabled, the on-screen version of your invoices will display a message indicating the Past Due stamp is visible on print and email versions of the Invoice:

You can easily disable the stamp from printing on the Invoice you're viewing by simply clicking the blue "turn-off" link. Turning it off here doesn't disable the printing on any other invoices.
The Past Due stamp appears on your printed or emailed invoices in the manner shown below:

I'll probably start printing the new Past Due stamp on my overdue invoices, but I'm so old school that I'll continue get out my rubber-stamp so I can stamp my little gunslinger on them as well.
