The following changes, improvements, and fixes were made to QuickBooks Desktop Pro 2017, QuickBooks Desktop Premier 2017 and QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise 17.0. Later releases (ones with higher numbers) include all changes in earlier releases.
Payroll Compliance
For Payroll Users in the following States Only:
- Indiana (excepted Assisted Payroll Users) - You are now able to set-up your employees' State Occupational Code (SOC) as seasonal and to file State Unemployment Income (SUI) Quarterly using the XLT tool.
- Maine - You can now set-up your emplloyees' SOC (State Occupational Code) as seasonal.
- Washington - You can now identify and correct Paid Family Medical Leave (PFML) discrepancies before quarterly filing.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue where the Total Amount changes when you Print after selecting recalculate.
- Fixed Payments Login icon issue when emailing an Invoice.
- Fixed the issue where an error page displays when a User without Realm Access clicks on Customers - Link Payment Service to Company File.
Should you update?
The release is available for 'manual download' from the QuickBooks Downloads and Updates website. It will start being pushed out over the 'automatic updates' downloads shortly. If you don't want the update then you need to make certain you have 'turned-off' auto-updates, otherwise you are going to be looking at that message advising you an update is ready for installation every time you log-in.
For the most part, these are 'fixes' to problems that have been identified. If you have experienced any of these issues, you may wish to update to this newest release version. If you haven't experienced any of these issues, you may wish to hold-off to see if there are any issues that arise out of this maintenance update.
