The changes, improvements and fixes elaborated below were included in this release for QuickBooks Desktop for Mac 2020. Be aware that each new update also includes all the changes from earlier updates. If you have automatic updates turned on, QuickBooks will download the updates for you and prompt you to install it. 1099 E-File
- Modified "Intuit E-File 1099 Service" menu item to appear only after signing up for e-filing.
e-Invoice
- Fixed a bug where the full amount on e-invoice recorded deposits (more than 6 digits) get shortened or cut off.
Merchant account
- Fixed a crash that sometimes happens when turning on payments.
- Fixed a crash that sometimes happens when closing a credit card payment window.
Printing
- Improved check printing security by always printing a 4-digit year on the check date.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed a crash that sometimes happens when closing the Pay Bills window.
- Fixed a crash that sometimes happens when rearranging items in Chart of Accounts.
- Fixed a problem where the New Account window unintentionally closes.
- Fixed a visual bug where an error during a Sales Receipt import becomes unreadable when in Dark Mode.
In Product Help
- Updated help content information to "Go to Find" in search options.
- Updated help content with information about 1099 e-Filing.
- Updated help content with information on changing Toolbar color.
Should You Update?
Well, this is always a question, if you have experienced any of these problems then you may want to go ahead and install this update; otherwise you may want to hold off a week or so to see if any adverse findings are reported. Remember if you are not interested in these updates then you need to make certain that 'Auto-updates' have been turned-off inside QuickBooks.
