QuickBooks For Windows App Is Available

Intuit announced in the QuickBooks Blog that the QuickBooks Windows App is now available for download. The company touts the app as the most efficient way to run QuickBooks on your desktop. In addition to being the most efficient way to run Quickbooks on your desktop, the App allows you to stay signed in, experience faster page load times and you are able to easily work in multiple windows while using it.

Clarification

To be clear, I assume this is an app for QuickBooks Online not QuickBooks Desktop

Yes - what you call QBO, they now call QuickBooks

Intuit now refers to 'QuickBooks Online' as QuickBooks, as far as they are concerned it is the 'present' and 'future' of QuickBooks, the mission of their re-invisioned 'Global' Cloud focused Application-platform company (as opposed to a North American based software vendor).

They now refer to the old stuff as QuickBooks Desktop products, just call up their website, you have to hunt and hunt to even find the desktop products, QuickBooks (online) is the feature set in fullest measure.

To answer your comment my Dear Caren, the new Windows App is for QBO to make it feel more native on a PC, in exact the same way as last years Mac App for QBO was designed to make QBO appear almost as if it were running on the Mac.
