Many users have been frustrated with the QuickBooks Online, and Chase bank account bank feeds. As a result, Chase Bank and QuickBooks Online have enhanced their connection for a better bank feed experience. The primary consideration when connecting Chase Bank is who is the primary account holder. Some financial institutions have a specific protocol that must be followed with no exceptions; otherwise, users encounter unsuccessful connections.
The connection process looks much the same as before, but there are a few items to consider during the connection phase.

Chase Authorization
Here are some tips to ensure the ultimate bank feed experience. Verify that the primary account holder will be the one granting permission to connect to QBO bank feeds. Chase limits who can establish online connections; this means QuickBooks Online can only be accessed with the primary account holder’s username and password. To check if your user is the primary account holder, contact Chase.

Other Chase authorized users, such as view only accounts do not have online connection capabilities. This means for accountants and bookkeepers with read-only capabilities will not be able to connection Chase bank to QuickBooks Online.
If you would like to check your user permissions or need to change your permissions the primary account holder can follow these steps to grant Chase account authorization:
- Select Account Management
- Open Access and Security Manager
- Choose Edit Assign access for the Authorized User
- Select Profile-level rights and check the Third-Party App Access box
- Choose Turn On to establish access for the Authorized User
