Cash flow is crucial, and there is a new App to streamline it: the Salesforce Connector by QuickBooks. It’s the first-ever Intuit®-built connector, joining Salesforce and QuickBooks Online Advanced1 for seamless integration, designed to shorten the quote-to-cash sales cycle.
The Salesforce Connector by QuickBooks integrates data between Salesforce and QuickBooks Online Advanced - so you don’t have to. With this App your Salesforce opportunities will sync into QuickBooks Online Advanced as invoices. This is designed to speed up your sales cycle and keeps all your financial data in one place. This feature is currently available for Salesforce Professionals and Enterprise plans.
Step 1: To get started using the App there are two different routes you can take:
- Log into QuickBooks Online Advanced as an admin, search for Salesforce Connector by QuickBooks, and select Get app now2.
- You can also go to the Intuit QuickBooks App Center, search for Salesforce Connector by QuickBooks2 and select Sign in which takes you to the log-in for your QuickBooks Online Advanced account).

Step 2: Decide how opportunities will appear in QuickBooks.
Once you are connected you will import your products/services, custom fields and determine how opportunities should appear.

Step 3: Add your Salesforce products and services to QuickBooks.
Step 4: Add Salesforce info to custom fields on QuickBooks sales forms.
Step 5: Get opportunities into QuickBooks. Once you connect your Salesforce account, QuickBooks automatically downloads your previously closed Salesforce opportunities and creates draft invoices from the data related to those opportunities. QuickBooks won't add these draft invoices to your books until you review and approve each one of them. This is because QuickBooks recognizes that you may have previously recorded these ‘manually’ (or by another method) in your books prior to using this App (or you simply won't want them included in your books at all).
With this new tool Salesforce Connector by QuickBooks2 you can really accelerate your cash flow by:
- Integration of your CRM and accounting, with an automated quote-to-cash process that includes invoices, estimates, and sales receipts.
- Insuring accuracy of your data with consistent information across sales and accounting.
- Via time savings from eliminating the need for duplicated data entry by accounting.
- Automated invoice reminders, with payments reflected in both Salesforce and QuickBooks Online Advanced.
- Complete visibility, with a 360-degree view of important Salesforce and QuickBooks data in one place in real time.
So, if you are using QBO-Advanced, and you are using Salesforce, then you should probably consider Salesforce Connector by QuickBooks2.
