Send General Journal Entry Feature makes Life Simple for Accounting Professionals
With QuickBooks 2013 ‘Accountant’ versions, the Send Journal Entry feature gives you added flexibility in how you can share work with your client. Both the ‘Accountant version’ user and the client must be using QuickBooks 2013 to use this feature. There are four simple steps to follow in using the Send Journal Entry feature:
Step 1: Create any General Journal Entry as you normally would. You should be using a copy of the client’s file to do this so that all GL account names (or numbers) match.
Step 2: Click the Send GJEs Icon on the Main tab of the Make General Journal Entries ribbon toolbar. You will be able to select a single journal entry or several to send at the same time.
Step 3: QuickBooks creates an e-mail with instructions for your client and attaches the journal entry or entries you selected.
Step 4: When your client receives the email they click on the attachment. The Add General Journal Entries to Your File dialog box displays for your client to review before adding the entries to their file.
It really is that simple!
