Would you be surprised to find out just how many small businesses don't bookkeeping software or apps to manage their businesses?
Well, hold on, because according to Viewpost's "Success Through Accounting Study," 18 percent of small businesses don't use accounting software, while only 21 percent have integrated it with an invoicing and payments product.
The report also shows that while one in four businesses plan to integrate their accounting with invoicing and payments by the end of this year, 27 percent say they have no future plans to initiate a streamlined, end-to-end payments process.
For those using software, QuickBooks leads the way, with 43 percent of decision makers saying they use a desktop version of the software, with 28 percent say they use QuickBooks online.
The next two most popular software programs were Microsoft Dynamics GP Desktop (5 percent) and Sage Desktop Products (3 percent). Other software program include were NetSuite, FreshBooks and Xero.
