QBO it is. I mean, Intuit's QBO quarterly numbers increase one quarter after the next. This results in ProAdvisors' phones ringing with either new QBO users or QuickBooks Desktop users wanting to switch to QBO.
My "Scaling New Heights" class – "Training the QBO End User" – is intended to help you examine four distinct areas where you, as a ProAdvisor, can make an impact with those users.
This class will help you:
- Interpret the needs of new QBO users
- Assess the abilities of these users with a focus on QBO related training requirements (Who are you training and their skill set?)
- Develop a step-by-step training plan customized to the QBO users’ needs and abilities
- Strategize the best method by which to price such training plans
This class will make use of simulated (from real life) QBO user scenarios in the formulation of specific training plans customized to the users' needs and abilities. Our goals is for class participants to walk away with a plan of action they can use with their own QBO clients.
Interpreting the needs of new QBO users means listening:
- What are the bookkeeping goals?
- What is the desired timeline of training?
Liz QBO End User - 03
Assessing the abilities of these users – you must understand:
- Who are you training?
- Assess their abilities as they relate to developing a training plan for them
Liz QBO End User - 04
Develop Plan – create a step-by-step training outline based on QBO user’s needs and abilities:
- Who are the QBO users?
- What are their strengths and areas needing improvement?
- Based on the method in which they will be using QBO, create processes that provide proper workflow(s)
- Based on the workload, determine how much time will be needed to perform duties
- Based on tools (PC, Mac, IPad) in which work will be performed, create and appropriate training plan
Liz QBO End User - 05
Pricing - Discuss strategies for pricing of customized training plan(s):
- Creating a price based on challenges and timeline
- Be sure to consider the location of the training
- Do you need to incorporate written processes for users duties
- Don't forget the power of three price options based on the Project (Value Pricing)
Our Class will actually “Do the Plan”
- Based on our Course Objectives, we will work through scenarios that demonstrate various examples of needs, user abilities, equipment and time required.
- The class participants actually will listen to the scenario, identify the needs, create a training outline and price the options.
You can't get more practical then actually taking the theory and putting it into practice right there in our classroom.
Hopefully it will be an enjoyable learning experience.
