In light of the changing world, Scaling New Heights (SNH) has started this week with options, and thank goodness for those options!
SNH2020 Opening Main Stage
Everyone knows I LOVE conferences. For me, it’s about making lifelong friends with who I can exchange ideas and grow! My first conference filled me with so much joy driven directly from the knowledge I learned, making me better at my craft and connections I made.
If it weren’t for conferences, I would not have experienced this much growth. That is why amid a pandemic, I am saddened not to be attending SNHs in person this year.
So, I am extremely thankful for the virtual option, which so many of my peers have opted for. I may not get the same warm fuzzies as an in-person conference from my desk chair, but I will share the attendees’ journey, and first hand hears and learn from the educational courses.
I look forward to seeing so many of your faces – even if it’s online.

Just 54 miles east of this year's conference hotel (as the crow fly's) is what was Launch Complex 5 of Cape Canaveral, the site of America's first manned space flight by Alan Shepard on May 5, 1961 that ushered in a wave of scientific discovery, enhanced national security, and innovation with numerous commercial benefits, not to mention 'pride' in our country's accomplishments.
The early NASA pioneers were visionaries who did not let setbacks prevent them from accomplishing the goals that had been set before them. They painstakingly found ways to work through those obstacles and to stay on track and achieve 'the mission.'
So it is, and always has been with Joe and 'Team Woodard', despite the hardships of the past, and even COVID-19 of this year, he has always found a way of offering his Scaling New Heights conference.
In every great adventure there is risk, the question is always, 'is the risk worth taking to achieve the goal?'
As with NASA, Joe has always said, "yes" rather than simply saying, "it can't be done."
