Intuit is offering a free virtual conference to prepare individuals for the new QuickBooks Online Level 1 ProAdvisor Certification from December 10 through 12. The event covers the new training content and exam preparation for those attending.
But unlike most QuickBooks ProAdvisor Certification virtual conferences (or Bootcamps) in the past, the second level training isn't being offered at this event. This has left some ProAdvisors writing in asking "what about Level 2 training."
Both the Level 1 (formerly called 'core') and Level 2 (formerly called 'advanced') training has been totally revamped, and shortened. I've been told that a lot less focus is given on content related to QuickBooks products and more focus given on 'concepts' and 'workflows' that apply regardless of the products in use (Plus, Advanced, etc.).
There are other changes in the new training. One is what I call 'progressive certification'. You can option to take a test to get certified without having taken any of the training for Level 1 (for example). On the other hand, if you take the training, you get tested as you proceed through each of the various courses that make up the new training. When you have passed all of those course examinations, you no longer are required to pass a 'certification test.' Your certified by virtue of passing the components.
This first 'new curriculum' virtual event will be as much about Intuit, the ProAdvisor Program, the educational entity involved in the design of the new content and exams, the instructional staff (impressions over the content, flow and participation), and the evaluation(s) the participants provide regarding the new training. I suspect their will be 'tweaks' in response.
But for those looking for Level 2 training, at least for now, you have to seek it out via your QuickBooks Online Accountant.
1) Log into your QuickBooks Online Accountant
2) Select the ProAdvisor Menu Item
3) Select the Training Option
4) Affirm the redirect (if prompted to do so) from QBOA to ProAdvisor Academy by choosing the Start Learning button.
5) You should land on the 'My Hub' menu (along the top of the Academy window
6) Select Certifications (or Certification enrollments)
7) When the Certifications page opens, scroll down to QuickBooks Online Certification Level 2
8) Choose 'Enroll' to begin the process
9) Note: Your status for QuickBooks Online Certification Level 1 must show that "You already earned this badge" in order to Enroll in Level 2.
10) You will find 'all' the various courses, Level 1, Level 2, Bookkeeping on the Learn tab.
Just look at all that fun and exciting training..... and don't forget to add each one of those to your 'fill in the blank' training opportunities in your 2025 ProAdvisor Awards Application form.
