There are different methods of scheduling and tracking employee hours for payroll. You or your clients might currently be using excel sheets, paper time cards or even text messages. But these methods create tons of manual data entry.
HR taskings already are daunting, so the more you can automate any processes, the more money you save in productivity time and employee overhead.
QuickBooks Time (formerly TSheets Time Tracker) is a dream come true. It allows employees to clock in and out from any device and automatically syncs with QBO Payroll to create a seamless workflow for processing payroll. In addition, you can schedule your employees' time, have access to real-time reports, and much more.
App Features
Mobile Time Tracking
The QuickBooks Time app allows for easy access on any mobile device to review, edit and approve hours wherever you are.
Employee Scheduling
QuickBooks Time Tracking also features in-app Scheduling, which allows you to drag and drop shifts, assign jobs, see who is working at a glance, and send alerts to managers if employees have not clocked in for a job or shift as scheduled.
Who’s Working
This great feature lets you see who is working in real-time, making your team management much more manageable. In addition, while an employee is clocked in, you can track their location via GPS. This helps with keeping an employee accountable, but also knowing where your workers are can help with scheduling work.
Subscription Options
QB Time has two pricing tiers, Premium and Elite. The Premium plan can schedule, record and manage the hours for employees and contractors. The Elite plan can improve project efficiency and profitability.
Integration into QBO
The great news. Manual entry timesheets are a thing of the past because QuickBooks Time does integrate with all QuickBooks Online Plus, Essentials, and Advanced. When synced, it imports your employees, vendors, customers/sub-customers, service items, classes and pay items directly into your QuickBooks.
From there, you can edit, review and approve employee timesheets for payroll, job costing, billing or invoicing, all without ever leaving QuickBooks. Any changes to data will sync in real-time, so it will always be accurate.
