In this article I want to take you through the steps of creating a bonus payroll check only because employee bonuses are not always tied to their scheduled (regular) payroll. So you need to be able cut a separate (special) bonus check anytime you need one.
Note: The 10-step procedure that follows is based using QuickBooks Desktop Payroll (Basic or Enhanced), it is not consistent with Full Service payroll or QuickBooks Online Payroll.
