Intuit is making changes to QuickBooks invoicing capabilities and will soon discontinue QuickBooks Billing Solutions.
.
What is changing?
.
The ability to send invoices through your e-mail client, automatically send invoices by postal mail, and request online payment will be discontinued on July 1, 2015. However, customers may continue to pay outstanding invoices, and download invoice payments until August 31, 2015.
Beginning September 1, 2015, customers will no longer have access to pay invoices through Billing Solutions or access historical invoices and payments.
.
What you or your clients need to do:
.
Intuit recommend that you and your clients begin transitioning from using QuickBooks Billing Solutions as soon as possible. In older versions of QuickBooks you will still be able to e-mail or print and mail invoices to your customers from QuickBooks. Customers will be able to pay invoices by sending payments through the mail or by calling your business and providing a credit card number. You will then manually enter payments into QuickBooks.
You and your clients may wish to upgrade to QuickBooks 2015 with a payments account to take advantage of Intuit's new e-Invoicing capability. E-Invoicing enables your business to e-mail invoices and collect online payments from customers. Payments will be entered automatically and processed by QuickBooks Payments.
