Beginning August 15, 2024, Intuit is hiking the cost of its QuickBooks Payments processing. This price change only impacts Intuit customers processing payment card transactions using QuickBooks Payments.
Intuit justifies the price change by saying that it will permit them to keep innovating and improving their products to meet the needs of the businesses they serve.
As of August 15, QuickBooks Payments will change existing costs to the following:
- Monthly fee - $0.00
- Card reader transactions - 2.40% + $0.30
- Keyed-in card transactions - 3.50% + $0.30
- Invoice (card-based) transactions - 3.50% + $0.30
- Invoice (ACH bank transfer) transaction - $3.00
Merchants (aka QuickBooks Payments subscribers) need not take any specific actions related to the price change. The price hikes will occur automatically on August 15, 2024.
