Remember, Tax Year 2023 wage reports must be filed with the Social Security Administration not later than January 31, 2024.
While the Social Security Administration's Electronic Wage Reporting suite of services will be 'down' Friday 12/1.2023 starting at 6AM EST through 5AM EST Monday, 12/4/2023 for upgrades to the Tax Year 2023 filing season, their New access and registration processes for Business Services Online (including AccuWage Online, W-2 Online and EFW2 Wage File Upload) will begin being accepted on Monday 12/4/2023.
Additional levels of security are now required to access BSO employer services. This means your BSO User ID and Password can no long be used to access BSO Employer services. You must now use a Social Security Online Account, Login.gov, or ID.me.credential to gain access to BSO functionality.
Without the new access you will NOT be able to use the following services until you have obtained the required credential and authentication:
- Wage file upload
- W-2/W-2C online
- AccuWage online
- Social Security Number Verification Service (SSNVS)
- View wage report name/SSN errors
If you are unclear about the new access and registration process for Business Service Office (BSO) Employer services you can sign-up for one of three virtual webinars meeting via Microsoft Teams on:
- Wednesday, December 6, 2023
- Wednesday, December 13, 2023
- Monday, December 18, 2023
