ReportAmigo is a cloud application that automates financial reporting while fostering transparency and interaction via automated and interactive reports distributed over email and SMS (text messaging).
Today, thanks to bank feeds, artificial intelligence, and automation, company books are updated frequently and getting closer to the “real-time” accounting paradigm. This creates an incredible opportunity to leverage this data to provide teams with the right insights and information, when they need it, wherever they are.
ReportAmigo makes this possible by automatically distributing insightful reports to everyone that needs them, when they need them, wherever they are, while making it easier for teams to communicate around reports.
ReportAmigo seamlessly integrates with QuickBooks and/or Xero to automatically collect financial information about organizations. Their cloud-based reports work great on mobile devices, tablets, and desktop computers, and don't require recipients to sign in or login to any account. The included information conveys key highlights, and their interactive features (such as comments and notifications) enable teams to interact and collaborate with minimal effort. So let's take a look at some of what ReportAmigo offers.
Key Trends Report: This report is one of the hallmarks of ReportAmigo, it provides key company trends and seasonality in terms of profitability, cash, and equity positions at a glance.
When the reports are transmitted from ReportAmigo you will receive either an email like this one (below) or a text message.

ReportAmigo is easy to use and only takes a few minutes to connect with one or more QuickBooks Online companies or Xero organizations (the number of companies or organizations you connect to is dependent upon the Plan you subscribe to). For QuickBooks users you can access this App from the Intuit App Center ReportAmigo page. (Note: I connected to my QBMurph file in less than 1 minute.) Xero users will find this App at the Xero App Marketplace Reports and Reporting page. (I didn't test it with Xero, but I suspect it works just as well as it did for me with QBO.)
You can then configure, schedule and automate daily, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports using their scheduling feature (shown below). Simply select the 'what', 'who', and 'when' and ReportAmigo will then run and send the specific reports to your designated contacts on the scheduled of your choice.

ReportAmigo is for both end-users and trusted advisors. Accountants, bookkeepers, company executives, founders, board members, investors, partners, managers, and controllers, can all use ReportAmigo to easily stay on top of company financials and thereby interact for business success.
Did I mention, ReportAmigo report recipients don’t even need to have access to a QuickBooks or Xero account. They don't even have to sign-in to access view the highly visual and interactive reports, they simply click on the link in the email or text message they are sent from ReportAmigo to view the reports from any internet connected device. This makes ReportAmigo a great way to send information and reports to decision makers without ever allowing them to access or touch your accounting data.
So, if you are looking for a way to economically prepare and distribute a variety of financial reports to key personnel, or clients (if you are an accounting or consulting firm), and you are a QBO or Xero user, you should probably check-out ReportAmigo.
ReportAmigo is an App development of ChimiChuri, Inc. They offer a variety of pricing plans designed to meet the needs of small businesses needing reporting from just 1 data source, up to SMB accounting and consulting firms (needing to connect to as many as 50 data sources) that want to offer this type of reporting to their clients. All plans include email-based technical support. ReportAmigo also offers a 7-day free trail without any credit-card needed.
Author/Editor's Note and Disclosure:
While I connected a 7-day free trial of ReportAmigo to one of my small sample QBO company files and it worked every time, I didn't feel the limited amount of data in that sample file did justice to the ReportAmigo displays and reports, so I chose to use graphical illustrations provided by ReportAmigo from their sample data-set in most of this article. That's why you may see references to both QBMurph and Acme, Inc. data within the various illustrations contained herein.
