Amaka solutions allow you to sync your data into your accounting system(s) in a matter of minutes. They provide various integration and automation options that connect your sales data into QuickBooks, Xero, and MYOB. Unlike some companies that build 'sync solutions,' Amaka produces integrations for eCommerce and produces integrations for Point-of-sale products.
They've built a wide range of deep integrations with these providers to ensure their data is automated for accounting professionals with clients in the retail, hospitality, eCommerce, and service sectors. For example, Amaka integrations allow users to customize the mapping of all sales, payments, and taxes recorded based on how their accounting software is set up.
Users can also set a synchronization scheduler that controls the specific time of day when transaction data from the previous day of trade is captured by the integration and synchronized to the accounting system. As part of the synchronization, transactions are matched to the accounting system's bank feeds to streamline the bank reconciliation process.
Setup is made easy with three options depending on the needs of the business, Express, Advanced and Guided. In most cases, Amaka's Express 2-Minute Setup will meet basic setup requirements. In addition, users can choose a free 30-minute On-boarding Video-conference Call with an Amaka Expert if they need Advanced Setup for custom mapping or Guided Setup for additional configuration.
Let's look at the steps of that Express Setup:
- Choose Express Setup when you begin the setup process.
- Map your sales and payment data to the relevant accounts of your Chart-of-accounts.
- Schedule your data sync based on the time that will be most convenient for you.
- If needed, you have the option to sync up to 12 months of prior data with the Amaka historical sync feature.
That pretty much is the setup process, even with the historical transfer of data. The process's actual length of time will depend on the amount of data being synchronized in the first data transfer. For example, if you synchronize data from 12 months, the process will take much longer than if you only synchronize data from yesterday's sales.
