In reporting from Las Vegas at the 2024 Acumatica Summit, I told you that we would have several articles examining new features being implemented in their 2024R1 product release, or on their product roadmap. This is the first of those 'What's New with Acumatica' features.
Acumatica empowers businesses and organizations with advanced financial features for growing companies. With Acumatica, businesses can expedite the close of month and year-end, automate their AP processes, reduce their outstanding sales by offering flexible credit limits and terms to their customers, and use proactive collection methods.
Acumatica allows you to manage your business using powerful insights with configurable inquiries, personalized reports, role-based dashboards, and real-time business analytics. Several of these key areas are the subject of the new features and functionalities begin updated in the foreseeable future.
During the Acumatica Summit, Mikhail (Mike) Shchelkonogov, the chief technical officer at Acumatica, spoke about a new user interface (UI) configured to enhance usability and the roadmap for development. Aspects of the new, modernized UI will be available for trial in non-production (sandbox) instances to Acumatica customers with the release of their 2024R1 update scheduled for this spring.
In discussing the new UI, Shchelkonogov spoke of several key considerations for all of Acumatica’s product development including:
- Continuity - How long can the software run without the need for changing the application code?
- Uniformity - What level of control over the code does Acumatica possess?
- Adaptability - How flexible is the software when customers need a change?
- Usability - Do customers like (rather than dislike) using the software?
- Supportability - How difficult is it for Acumatica to provide customer service?
- Cost - How much does it cost to operate the software on a SaaS platform?

- Event-driven client-side program modeling similar to the server-side model.
- The new capabilities that will require no graph code modification since the New Ul and the Classic Ul will share the same graph code. This will also makes screen by screen migration possible while providing a fallback option at the instance level.
