We have previously told you that AdvancePro is a total operations solution designed to optimize inventory-centric and manufacturing businesses while working with QuickBooks as your accounting solution. The vast majority of your personnel will work in AdvancePro for their day-to-day business related tasks, the exception will be some bookkeeping/accounting personnel and management members who continue to need or want access to QuickBooks.
The reality is that AdvancePro can do so much more than QuickBooks alone, even the most robust version of QuickBooks, Enterprise Solutions with the entire Advanced Inventory feature set. AdvancePro provides inventory and order management for multi-channel inventory workflows and allows you to connect otherwise disconnected technologies that maybe limiting your strategic growth. Even with all this sophistication AdvancePro is essentially as easy to use as QuickBooks, that's why a lot of QuickBooks users expand their capabilities with AdvancePro when things just get to be too much for QuickBooks alone. But even with all this sophistication AdvancePro needed and wanted to provide more to their users.
Going Mobile - Phase 1
A couple of years ago, Israel Ellis, the developer of AdvancePro, and his team began work on a Mobile App to meet the requirements of users, first in the warehouse environment. Mobile Inventory Control is a fairly sophisticated feature if you 'get it right' and even though it's common in large systems many smaller systems simply don't offer it directly, they may use a plug-in from another company to help do the job.
AdvancePro not only incorporated inventory tracking from receiving to shipping via their AP Mobile Warehouse APP using barcodes for item identification as well as lots/serial numbers, but they also included stock transfer capabilities so that inventory could be tracked across locations easily in real-time. And, when you are 'manufacturing' all items required for production can be tracked via the same Mobile App. AdvancePro has phased this capability in over the last 18-months and reportedly gotten this aspect of their 'going mobile' effort fully ready for prime time.
Going Mobile - Phase 2
But the idea of going mobile wasn't limited to just managing the warehouse and order fulfillment processes. A key aspect of the mobile initiative was to offer users the ability to make and manage sales from anywhere via a Mobile App so they also undertook development of their AP Mobile Sales APP that literally puts the power of AdvancePro sales in the palm of your hand whether you are at your desk, at a customer's place of business, at a trade show, or simply check an order status, or inventory item's availability, for a customer while having dinner with your family. And, by the time you read this, or very soon thereafter ("I am told") AdvancePro will be releasing an update to their Mobile Sales App that will allow you to take payments via swipe, tap or card insert methods.
So, if you use Android and need more than QuickBooks alone can handle, check out AdvancePro and their new Mobile Sales APP as well as their Mobile Warehouse App. Just visit the company's website for more information. It might be just the way to 'ring in your new year.'
And AdvancePro Gives You a Software Version Update to boot...
In addition to the 'Mobile App' releases, AdvancePro has also announced the release of their latest product update (Version 11.20) providing new functionality and enhancements including (but not limited to) customer purchase order enhancements, materials calculator, customer returns enhancements, improvements to Shopify order tracking, Assembly component pick ticket printing, warehouse assembly component ticket (details), a new payment/credits feature accessible from the customer payment screen, and other feature updates.
One important update relates to remaining 'sync' compliant between AdvancePro and QuickBooks Online as a result of recent changes Intuit has made in the way that API based applications interface with QBO.
