Intuitive Accountant strives to provide you, our QuickBooks Specialist, Accountant and Business Consultant readers with information about opportunities to serve your clients, build your practice, and bolster your compensation through this series we call ‘Advisor Alliance’. The focus of this series will be product developers and vendors who offer some form of alliance, partnership, or referral program that might be of interest to you and your practice.
Do you work with manufacturing clients in your QuickBooks, accounting or consulting practice? If so you know that sooner or later, QuickBooks simply will NOT be enough to meet all the demands of sophisticated manufacturing. Complex assemblies, shop floor management, specialized inventory tracking, or a countless number of other unique requirements will cause you to find either a solution that works with QuickBooks or replaces it.
Well you can help meet the complex needs of your manufacturing clients with a proven, comprehensive software package that works with QuickBooks (and other) accounting software. MISys offers a variety of ‘advisor alliances’ designed to leverage their dedicated and professional staff to service your customers whether you simply want to refer clients, become an authorized reseller, enter into a VAR partnership, or become an approved Implementation Partner.
Alliance Level 1 – Referral Partners: As a referral partner you send your pre-qualified manufacturing client (leads) to MISys and let MISys do the rest. You don’t even really have to sign up for this level of participation, which makes it perfect for many accountants, bookkeepers, and consultants. Simply complete the MISys Sales Lead Registration form to let MISys know about the prospective manufacturer. You own the lead if you are the first company to register it, and MISys will pay you a percentage of the MSRP if the prospect purchases the software.
Alliance Level 2 – Authorized Reseller: If “sales is your thing”, then you may want to sign-up for this level of alliance. This is a team work approach between you and MISys to provide you with the resources you need to turn a prospect into a sale. This type of alliance allows you to focus on your clients while MISys provides you with the support you need in the form technical information and demonstrations, priority technical support, on-line training courses, to unite in providing the MISys software to your small and mid-sized manufacturers. Authorized resellers not only earn a commission, but receive NFR copies of the software, and other benefits.
Alliance Level 3 – VAR Partner: Value Added Reseller Partners can both demonstrate the software to their clients as well as provide implementation services to optimize the use of MISys software in the company’s setting. While there are many similarities between the Authorized Reseller and VAR Partner levels of alliance, the VAR Partner undergoes additional training and instruction not only on the sale side, but in the implementation and support side as well. A variety of opportunities exist based upon the extent to which a VAR Partner participates.
Alliance Level 4 – Implementation Partner: MISys experts with years of experience in manufacturing may wish to participate at this level of commitment. Implementation partners spend time as remote and on-site paid consultants to help companies complete a successful launch of the software. Extensive training and hands-on experience makes Implementation Partners the ‘cream of the crop’ with respect to the MISys Advisor Alliance opportunities.
