A few weeks ago, I wrote an App Aware about MyWorks, which seamlessly integrates popular eCommerce platforms like WooCommerce and Shopify with accounting systems like QuickBooks and Xero. I also interviewed the MyWorks team last Fall at the QuickBooks Connect conference in Las Vegas.
Well, today, I want to tell you about the MyWorks Partner Program. Since the beginning of Insightful Accountant, we have offered our 'Advisor Alliance' features to software and app developers with programs that give you, our ProAdvisor, Accounting, and Bookkeeping community, opportunities to gain more business.
Advisor Alliance is one way we here at Insightful Accountant can assist you in improving your business related to the various apps and software offerings we write about. In many cases, working with these developers can discount your cost or the cost to your clients, earn you more revenues through promotional assets and opportunities, and give you increased confidence in using, recommending, and integrating their products with your clients' software by providing training and possibly product certification.
So, I hope to summarize some of the critical details of the alliance you can build with MyWorks by joining the MyWorks Partner Program.
The MyWorks Partner Program is open to accountants, bookkeepers, and other service providers who are familiar with eCommerce and have at least one paid MyWorks plan.
- Partners choose whether they’d prefer a ten-percent discount or a ten-percent commission on all new MyWorks plans they add for their clients.
- Other program benefits include a feature in the Partner Directory on the MyWorks website, co-marketing opportunities, on-demand product training, and a ‘MyWorks Partner’ badge.
- Partners have access to dedicated customer support over chat, email and phone.
MyWorks intends to expand the program with additional benefits for its partners.
Partner Directory and Marketing
The Partner Program features all partners in a special Partner Directory on their website, where MyWorks users and website visitors are encouraged to browse and select a Partner that suits their needs.
- Each partner gets their dedicated page on the website with an included business logo, contact details, company introduction, and any additional media the partner would like to include in their profile (pictures, videos).
- MyWorks also features each partner in their social media and refers relevant partners to users who are looking for a service provider.
Training and Certification
Currently, the MyWorks Partner Program doesn't offer any specialized training for its partners. As of yet, they also don't offer any formal Partner Certification in the MyWorks product.
- MyWorks does offer one-on-one support for Partners to help them with any aspect of the product.
- The customer support team at MyWorks is also available to Partners wanting to provide feedback concerning the product or partner program.
Software Requirements
The MyWorks Partner Program is exclusively for accountants, bookkeepers, and other service providers with at least one paid MyWorks plan. Partners can support users on the 'free forever plan' or during their 'free trial' period.
- No sales quota is required beyond the initial paid MyWorks plan required to qualify for the Partner Program.
- There are no additional costs or fees for membership in the Partner Program.
