Zoho Books
Zoho Books offers its Zoho Books Advisor Program for accountants and SMB Advisors. The free program offers advisors:
- Access to wholesale subscriptions
- Listing on Zoho Books Advisor Directory
- Complimentary subscriptions to the Zoho Suite of Applications
Zoho does not look at the advisor as a reseller or prospector. Rather, the company sees accountants and bookkeepers as the front line force for discovering new clients that are using Zoho Books and helping those clients learn how they can can utilize programs like those offered through Zoho.
Advisors can earn recurring commission through licensing Zoho Finance Programs to their clients. They may also utilize recurring subscription discounts for wholesale purchases. The current subscription discount/commission percentages are 50% for the client's first year, 25% for second and third years, and 15% for the fourth year onward.
Zoho Books Advisors also have the opportunity to become well versed in any Zoho program, such as Zoho CRM, and then apply to become Zoho Referral Partners. This allows advisors to earn commission on any Zoho Program that they may recommend to their clients, while also using paid versions in their own firms for free. This is one of the most significant benefits to becoming a Zoho Books Advisor: using professional and enterprise level Zoho Programs, absolutely free.
The commission is credited back to the client's account or transferred to their bank upon accrual of the minimum payout threshold. In this scenario, an Advisor's client would pay for the Zoho program on their own, the advisor would map the client to their account, and then earn commission. Whereas, subscription discounts are applied at checkout so they are received instantly. In this scenario, the advisor is paying for the program themselves.
Ultimately, an Advisor's earnings are wholly dependent on the types of services they are offering through utilizing the Zoho Product Suite. The Zoho Books Advisor program makes it possible for those accountants that strictly remain bookkeepers to service their clients but also allows the growth of business consultancy services through the nearly three dozen and growing business applications available through Zoho.
Training for an Advisor requires attending a live webinar and completing the certification with a one-on-one meeting with a Zoho Books Advisor.
Accountants are facing a dramatic shift in the way that their industry has functioned. Zoho is provides accountants and bookkeepers with the tools necessary in cloud based accounting, business management and productivity programs to gear themselves away from end-of-year accounting services towards the full-suite business consulting model.
