All Orders by NumberCruncher is a QuickBooks add-on that delivers robust, feature-rich inventory management, sales cycle workflow and warehouse management, at a very affordable price.
All Orders provides seamless integration with QuickBooks (desktop) including powerful bi-directional synchronization, Unlike many other 'add-on inventory programs' All Orders allows you to either sync with items in QuickBooks or use aliases. If you sync with items you will see them on QuickBooks transactions, you can still print invoices from QuickBooks, print sales reports and use other integrated applications that require items in QuickBooks. Within All Orders you will see a detailed breakdown of inventory by item, location, bin and serial #, whereas in QuickBooks you will see only the total quantities.)
All Orders provides a user interface that helps users find what they are looking for. The Home Dashboard serves as a one-stop resource for often-accessed lists and forms providing one click access to popular sales, purchasing, production and warehouse function plus quick reports make this a go to screen for many users.
This dashboard companions with the customer details and CRM functionalities of the All Orders customer information screen which provides a complete history of every transaction for every customer. Users can easily find quotes, orders, shipments and return and open them for viewing or editing with a single click. Included on this screen are the customer contact details, internal notes on the customer and an A/R Aging summary for their account.
All Orders is based around 'cyclic workflow', so you can easily gain access to every aspect of sales, purchasing and inventory cycles. For example, All Orders covers the entire Sales Cycle. Quotes can be issued to customers and then easily be converted into Sales Orders. Orders can then be filled with shipping documents (or electronically via the ‘mobile’ App) which prompt the pick, pack and ship/delivery process, culminating in an invoice being generated in QuickBooks. RMAs and Customer Returns can be generated, when needed, to complete the Sales Cycle.
Sales orders can have multiple shipping/delivery and release dates, which means no more entering multiple sales orders just to fulfill multiple dates of delivery. You can not only maintain multiple ship-to addresses for each customer but you can ship/deliver to multiple addresses from the same sales order. The All Orders Batch Shipper feature will auto allocate available inventory to customer orders and create shipping documents on the fly allowing you to select which orders get inventory first, date ranges to filter orders to ship/deliver, and specify customers or locations for shipping/delivery. If you are like most inventory businesses, you have 'sudden priority orders' that need to be filled before another order already assigned to pick. With All Order you can easily override allocated inventory to pick and choose which orders get shipped, all without creating ‘inventory count, price or cost’ irregularities in the software that are common when you process orders 'out of order' in QuickBooks.
Need point-of-sale for your sales office or warehouse counter, All Orders has you covered, you can even assign special terms to customers that require payments to be taking when orders are placed or upon shipping. Apply payment methods such as checks, wires, or credit cards. Enter all relevant payment information and All Orders will make sure the payments are recorded in QuickBooks and applied to all relevant documents. You can even process credit cards through your existing gateway and merchant account! Attach a USB card reader and use the built in swipe function for your walk in sales.
Advanced price levels include company-wide discounts, customer specific discount, customer specific price catalogs, and customer-specific discount by item category, markups, item specific volume discounts, and more. Setup an unlimited number of price levels. Give customers special pricing on orders by overriding assigned price levels with a new one on an order by order basis.
But the 'sales cycle' is not the only cycle in an inventory rich business, you must also concern yourself with purchasing and inventory. With All Orders you can create Purchase Orders and print/email them with a single click. Receive them into stock with Receiving Documents or Mobile Application, which fully support bar-codes, bins and lot and serial numbers. Send them to QuickBooks when complete to create Vendor Bill. Run receiving log report to track and manage your receiving. Make Vendor Returns and send them to QuickBooks for Vendor Credits. Specify the vendor along with their part number, UPC, cost, lead time and more.
Tired of manually creating Purchase Orders to restock the shelf or fill customer orders? The Reorder Analysis screen will create Purchase Orders in batch based on items falling below reorder points or orders needing inventory. Purchase may be created one at a time or in batch. Work orders and sales orders that depend on purchase orders can also be tracked. Additionally, there is a full history of receiving and return transactions on purchase orders. The reorder analysis enables you to create batch purchase orders or work orders for multiple vendors and items at the same time. Concerned about the accuracy of your reorder points and lead times? All Orders will use sales and usage history along with lead times, based upon your actual receiving history, to calculate reorder points.
We all know that QuickBooks uses the weighted average cost to record cost of goods sold and inventory value on the balance sheet. In cases when there are numerous fluctuations in cost, or you need to be able to trace a certain purchase to a specific invoice, the weighted average cost simply isn't appropriate. All Orders uses a 'parallel ledger,' permitting FIFO or specific identification to be used for costing, while QuickBooks will continue to use weighted average cost.
All Orders location tracking allows you to follow the movement of inventory from, to and between locations such as multiple warehouses, direct shipments to customers or vendors, and consignment inventory or components at sub-contractors; and the program also supports 'Bins' which can be a physical container, shelf, room, area or virtual location, and since this functionality enables locations within locations, you can also track items in multiple Bins.
All Orders includes full support for creating, managing and tracking lot and serial numbers. The program also allows you to print bar code labels for items directly from the source transactions—no other software is required. And when it comes to finding parts in the system, All Orders will recognize every item's part number, UPC, Vendor part number and manufacturer’s part number. You are not going to loose track of items due to a lack of nomenclature capabilities.
All Orders Mobile extends functionality of the software onto Windows-based Mobile ‘hand-held’ Computers to allows warehouse personnel to download sales orders to be picked, purchase orders to be received and also perform inventory counts. Using the mobile option a sales order can be picked and the picking information will be uploaded in real time back to automatically create Shipping or Delivery Documents. Similarly, once a purchase order is received a Receiver will automatically be created. Finally, All Orders Mobile will update your count with new quantities when it comes time to make either cyclic or total inventory counts. You will accomplish all of the tasks much faster using the mobile functionality than using traditional paper methods.
All Orders can generate a variety of reports giving you the information your business needs to make intelligent decisions. Reports can be easily customized by choosing which fields print, as well as filtering, grouping and sorting options. You can also export to Excel, Access, Word, PDF, RTF and HTML.

Conclusion
Inventory needs vary significantly from one 'inventory rich' business to another. Retailers, wholesalers, distributors and almost everyone in between who are in the inventory business have a need for some level of inventory management. QuickBooks desktop, even QuickBooks Enterprise with Advanced Inventory and Advanced Pricing are not only weak in terms of inventory capabilities, but also error prone.
All Orders by NumberCruncher is one of the oldest SDK based products for inventory supplementation to QuickBooks, and the fact that it works 'with QuickBooks items' and forms in a near normal fashion make this product somewhat unique (only 1 or 2 other products have similar capabilities, while most do not). This means that the transition from QuickBooks based inventory to a 3rd-party product could possibly be easier using this product than many others; you will just have to judge that on your own.
From a cost-standpoint this product is certainly worth considering especially if you or your client are looking at upgrading from Pro/Premier to Enterprise or from Enterprise to Enterprise with Advanced Inventory/Advanced Pricing. You may find that you get a better feature set, more reliable application and database, and improved capabilities for a similar or better price.
All Orders offer a free trial; if you support inventory clients, or have inventory in your own business, you should certainly check this product out.
