Reach Reporting gives you the ability to create financial reports and dashboards from your QuickBooks Online and Desktop data in a fairly simple to use interface that auto-populates your pre-configured templates so that your information is available when you need it.
Connecting to QBO or QBDT
You heard me correct... Reach Reporting works with both QuickBooks Online via the typical QBO OAuth2 connection method that is associated with other Apps connecting via the Intuit App Center (Reach Reporting App page). It also connects with QuickBooks Desktop via their own 'Desktop Connector' that works thru the QBDT-SDK and runs as an Integrated Application for which you will have to grant permission as the Administrator within QuickBooks Desktop (Pro, Premier or Enterprise).
Connections between Reach Reporting and QuickBooks, Online or Desktop, are otherwise pretty much the same in terms of the the data that Reach is accessing for reporting purposes. Remember, this is a reporting App, it really is only using your QuickBooks data for the purpose of producing information resources in the form of reports or dashboards, it isn't updating your actual QuickBooks data.
Reporting
Reach makes it simple to design reports from a library of templates that have been configured to meet the most common financial display requirements. You can get daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual or annual reports in a wide range of designs. There are nearly two-dozen industry-standard templates pre-configured with accountants and clients both in mind. By using these financial report templates in your report preparation process you will greatly simplify your reporting tasks and that means saving time, which means reducing expense.

Dashboards
Just like Reach affords you templates for reports, it also offers a range of templates for Dashboards designed to show the data that truly matters.
