QuickBooks ProAdvisor and Computer Consultant, Michael Barca, of Colorado uses MyQuickCloud to solve remote access needs of his clients. In one case, he needed a solution that allowed his client to log in to one of her store locations without disrupting the operation of the Point of Sale software. "Now she is able to log in and work on QuickBooks while her employees continue to run Point of Sale at the store, in fact they are not even aware that she is logged into the same computer." It’s a small retail store with limited resources and only one computer. The owner certainly couldn’t afford an internet based hosted solution nor was it reasonable to expect her to implement a Windows Terminal Services environment.
Michael is the owner of Barca Consulting, specializing in QuickBooks software and customized QuickBooks company setups. Michael provides on-site services from Denver to Carbondale, Colorado, assisting clients with using their software in the best way possible to suite their requirements.
In another case, Mike told Insightful Accountant about another of his clients who runs a property management rental company based in Hawaii. In this case the owner is almost never there. (I for one can’t imagine why anyone would want to be somewhere else if they had a business in Hawaii, none the less, back to Mike’s story.) The owner had been asking for years for a solution that would not take over one of his office computers, yet still allow him to have real time access to QuickBooks in a multi-user format, and give him access to his rental software.
Mike explained that “both of these clients were using “GoToMyPC” for remote access prior to his implementation of MyQuickCloud for them, but that they would have trouble with speed, dropped connections, and disruption of the office environment because it was a solution that tied up the computer whenever they had to log-in.” Mike also noted that printing to the local machine was hit or miss, working some of the time, but many times not.
As far as Mike and his two clients are concerned, MyQuickCloud seems to be painless thus far, resolving the problems of tying up a computer for remote access, allowing use of any and all the applications on the ‘office machine’ including QuickBooks, and printing seamlessly. Mike also told Insightful Accountant that his clients “definitely found the pricing structure of MyQuickCloud very attractive.”
MyQuickCloud is the new, easy way to share QuickBooks, and your other business software applications, with anyone from anywhere, anytime. Accessible through any device MyQuickCloud brings you amazing remote working and collaboration in a easy to use dashboard. Obviously it works, and works well, as evidenced by the satisfaction of Mike Barca’s clients.
