Editor's Note: February's editorial focus is on Time-tracking. Here, Murph takes a look at another time-tracking app. All told, he will be unveiling up to 60 articles for products that work with QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop.
eBillity's Time Tracker enables you to automate your timekeeping and save time and money. TimeTracker was designed for teams to make employee timekeeping for payroll and billing simple.
Easily manage your team with mobile apps, GPS tracking, geofencing, employee scheduling, alerts and reminders, overtime monitoring and detailed insights into labor costs, projects and client billing.
The TimeTracker app with facial recognition and geofencing is designed to eliminate buddy punching without needing expensive hardware. Employees can submit their time for approval no matter where they are, even if they happen to be off-line.
By using an iOS or Android device, everything they need is in the palm of their hand. Employees can easily:
- Clock in/out and take breaks with clicks of the Time Tracker app
- Capture every second worked with built-in app timers
- Submit their time entries for supervisor or administrative approval
- Receive alerts, reminders and push notifications
- Work offline and sync when they reconnect to the internet
- There is even an app option that allows employees capture expenses, but that’s a story for another feature article.
Thanks to the optional GPS time tracking feature, you can easily see who is on the clock and where, and who is taking a break or clocked out. In addition, you will know the status of your employees at a glance, giving you the opportunity to easily verify time entries to avoid payroll and invoice disputes.
This feature also helps identify route inefficiencies and make improvements in scheduling, as well as increase accountability and reduce the possibility of employee time theft.
By adding geofence radius to your employees time entries, you can quickly assign employees to specific locations and identify when employees are within a designed work zone or outside their location assignment(s).
When an irregularity in location occurs, the entry is flagged in the system so that a supervisor or administrator can review the incident and determine the appropriate course of action.
Project time tracking and review allows administrators to easily review, reject or approve all employee project hours prior to posting those to project costs or invoicing those costs to a client. GPS on-the-clock time tracking can be used to further verify the accuracy of costs related to project related travel (time and expense). The GPS/Geofence features mean you can fully validate project costs tied to project locations.
Get an accurate understanding of your team's time and productivity. With Time Tracker, you can easily conduct job costing and see a breakdown of your team's time, showing you the employees and clients making (and costing) you the most money.
Connect your QuickBooks Desktop or QuickBooks Online account with Time Tracker by eBillity for simple and efficient payroll and billing. Whether using QBO or QBD, when you connect QuickBooks to Time Tracker, they work together to save you hours in administration.
In addition, you can add a new employee, client or project in one application. Just click sync and the information is added to the other application.
