Gravity Announces Version 5 Release
Gravity, a mid-market cloud accounting solution written on the Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform has recently released Version 5 with many new features including:
- Bill of Materials for Light Manufacturers (Inventory Assembly capabilities)
- Create and Manage Sales Kits
- Serial, Lot and Lot with Expiration Date Inventory Tracking
- Value Added Taxes Calculations in Purchasing, Expenses, and Invoicing
- Customer Collections Dashboard to Manage Overdue Invoices
- Enhanced Bank Download Capabilities
- Enhanced Financial Reporting
- Expanded Data Entry Screens
Other enhancements relative to the user interface, inventory functionality and related to use by international subscribers were also included in this release. Gravity was designed to provide an accounting solution for companies that had outgrown entry level products like Intuit's QuickBooks.
Gravity's recent version release provides their users with many features previously only available in enterprise applications and had cost much more than Gravity. John Silvani, President and CEO of Gravity said, "We are excited to introduce Version 5 with many enhancements requested by our users."
Sage Announcements from Advantage 2018
During their Sage Intacct customer and partner conference in Nashville, TN, Sage announced several new features and functionalities available for all Sage Intacct customers:
- Budgeting and Planning is designed for small and midsize businesses that have outgrown spreadsheets and email for collaborative planning. However, they don't have the time and money to implement and manage an enterprise-scale solution. It has been in limited release since September.
- Interactive Custom Report Writer designed to increase the flexibility and agility required to improve business insights and day-to-day operations. Enables users to quickly build custom reports with hierarchical field selection, drag-n-drop, automatic formatting, and simple subtotaling. It will be available in the 4th Quarter of 2018.
- Dynamic Allocations empowers organizations to streamline the close process while more accurately representing their financial performance through allocation of indirect revenue and costs. Once sophisticated allocations are set-up, future allocations can then be handled in a consistent and automated manner saving a tremendous amount of time for users. It will also be available in the 4th Quarter of 2018.
Sage also announced new innovations relative to Sage Intact with respect to some specific vertical markets:
- For Nonprofits - Sage Intacct Revenue Recognition for Nonprofits, the industry's first solution to help nonprofits comply with the Financial Standards Board, Accounting Standard Update (ASU) 2018-08.
- For Subscription Businesses - Sage Intacct Billing Workbench, designed to manage disparate billing events and charges from all sources.
- For Distributors & Inventory-based Companies - new innovations designed to automate processes and maximize operational efficiencies.
