A few months back we told you about Intuit expanding QuickBooks Live to offer 'Tax.' QuickBooks Live was designed to help small business owners connect to an expert who was certified in QuickBooks in the same way ProAdvisors are certified in QuickBooks. Last year, Intuit offered a TurboTax Live service to help those Intuit customers using TurboTax (online) software connect with an expert in TurboTax and Income Tax preparation.
QuickBooks Live Tax essentially combines the 'connection' between QuickBooks Online users who have traditionally prepared their own taxes, many using Intuit TurboTax. Because Intuit is expanding their QuickBooks Live portfolio to offer tax preparation in an 'assisted services' mode for QBO users, they have determined that one of the most advantageous methods of doing so involves soliciting for the new service via the Tax-tab inside QuickBooks Online.

The new series of questions are geared to direct QBO users without a tax preparer to the new QuickBooks Live Tax offering.
- The first option available to QuickBooks Online users is 'No, I file annual business taxes myself.' If a user chooses that option they receive the following screen providing information about the QuickBooks Live Tax option.

- The second option, "Yes, an accountant files my taxes for me" serves as a prompt to reach out to their accountant and begin the annual tax return preparation process.
