Editorial Note: Insightful Accountant's editorial focus for March is Customer Management, which means we'll examine Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) apps that work with QuickBooks Desktop, QBO or both. Murph has chosen myriad apps based on his own ProAdvisor Client experiences, and some from what you wanted to learn more about within our recent reader survey.
In some cases, these CRMs may make use of, or require, a third-party connector/integrator app. Such connector app(s) may or may not be listed in one of the Intuit QuickBooks App Centers. All such requirements will be noted in our CRM product reviews.
If you want to turn your sales into a state of the art, revenue-generating engine for your business, look no further than HubSpot. Its CRM platform has all the tools and integrations you need for marketing, sales, content management and customer service.
So whether you are a one-person company looking for a CRM or need to manage thousands of contacts, HubSpot CRM is a great CRM for almost any business. And the fact that it offers a free version makes it one CRM you should certainly examine.
HubSpot CRM tracks customer interactions automatically—whether they are in an email, across social media or on a call. With HubSpot, every Lead interaction is stored by timeline, including calls, emails, meetings and notes.
So, there is no need to dig through your inbox or try to find information in a spreadsheet. Just review the Lead’s timeline to figure out where the relationship left off.
HubSpot enables you to sort and organize your deals into your pipeline so you can create reminders and other tasks and deadlines to keep your sales prospect on track. HubSpot’s automation features allow you to configure and queue up a series of automated sales emails and tasks for each opportunity, so you never lose touch.
HubSpot syncs with your Gmail or Outlook to help you capture every call, email or meeting in real-time. It also offers tools that notify your salespeople the minute a prospect opens their email or visits your website to have the context to follow up with leads at the right time.
With HubSpot’s free CRM app for iOS or Android, you can take your CRM with you wherever you go. This allows you to stay in touch with your hottest leads and have access to all your contacts. In addition, the app makes it easy to create notes, reminders, tasks and deals.
With detailed reports on sales activity, productivity and individual performance, you will never be in the dark about how your team is tracking toward quota, and you’ll have all the data you need to coach your team to success.
HubSpot reporting makes it easy to track the number of new contacts you are capturing, report on the deals your sales team has underway, and monitor all your current customer relationship tasks and activities.
The app is available in multiple versions, including a free CRM offering and several paid subscription offerings. Subscriptions vary significantly in price and feature set. Consult the Products & Plans or Bundles sections on HubSpot's Pricing website tab. You can learn more about HubSpot’s free sales CRM version here.
The HubSpot (add-on) integration with QuickBooks Online is a two-way sync process to help maintain the integrity of the accounting data within both applications. Records linked between the two systems will be updated automatically when either an entry is edited or newly created.
The integration also allows HubSpot users to view QuickBooks invoices, payments and estimates directly within HubSpot without needing QuickBooks access permissions. HubSpot users also can create new QuickBooks records for customers, vendors, purchase orders and more from HubSpot.
While the integration is a HubSpot developed app, it is not included in any version (even paid subscriptions) of HubSpot. It requires a separate add-on subscription.
For more information, visit the HubSpot app page here. You can review the details regarding that app integration here.
While HubSpot is listed in the QuickBooks Online App Store here, the graphics on that webpage reflect the integration app (listed above), not HubSpot CRM.
Additional information regarding HubSpot CRM is available on its website. Because HubSpot offers the free version of its CRM, it does not offer a free trial. It does offer a free demo.
